Since the introduction of the high speed KTX trains, Korean rail has connected major towns and cities offering faster and more efficient rail throughout the country.

The KTX trains run on new highspeed lines and are quite frequent with some long distance routes such as Seoul to Busan taking just 2 hours and 30 minutes. There are 2 lines that the KTX trains run on which are the Gyeongbu Line and the Honam Line.

The Gyeongbu Line services places such as Suwan, GimcheonGumi and Dongdaegu and the Honam Line serivces places such as Gwangmyeong, Nansan, Gwangju and Mokpo.
