BritRail South West Consecutive Guest Pass

Please note that this pass is for UK residents only and must be purchased at the same time as a BritRail South West Consecutive Pass.

The BritRail South West Consecutive Guest Pass covers most mainline and branch line carriages operated by First Great Western, South West Trains and Heathrow Express trains.

The UK guest passenger must travel with the pass holder at all times and provide proof of residence upon request.

This pass is bookable 180 days in advance of travel date. BritRail Passes cannot be issued as e-tickets and must be posted from the UK. Please allow sufficient time for delivery.

The BritRail South West Consecutive Guest Pass cannot be used to travel on the following routes: any train west of Swansea; any train between Gloucester and Newport via Chepstow; First Western's Night Riviera sleeper service, unless a berth has been purchased in addition to the BritRail South West Pass; any train services east of Portsmouth, even if this route is operated by First Great Western; any route in South Wales other than the Newport - Cardiff - Swansea mainline; any service operated by Arriva Cross Country, Arriva Trains Wales, Chiltern, Southern, First Capital Connect, Southeastern or London Midland.

  • Available in either First or Standard Class.
  • Unlimited travel from morning until night, within the specified regional territory, on most mainline and branch line services operated by First Great Western, South West Trains and Heathrow Express trains.
  • The Boundary Stations of the BritRail South West Pass are: London Paddington, Greenford, Marlow, Henley, Reading, Didcot, Oxford, Banbury, Hereford, Gloucester, Bristol Parkway, Cardiff, Swansea, Bristol Temple Meads, Weston-Super-Mare, Barnstaple, Gunnislake, Newquay, St.Ives, Penzance, Falmouth Docks, Looe, Exmouth, Weymouth, Portsmouth, Harbour, Basingstoke and Gatwick Airport. The pass provides access to Gatwick airport on regular trains via Reading and is not valid on the Gatwick Express.
  • BritRail offers exceptional discounts to small groups travelling together, low season travelling, seniors over 60, families and young travellers under 26.
  • Allows you to explore by hopping on and off the trains as you wish.

  • BritRail Guest Pass Discount -
This promotion allows a friend or relative, residing in Britain, to accompany you as you travel by train in Britain. Available in 1st or Standard Class, UK guest and traveler get 25%* off each. The UK guest passenger must travel with the Pass holder at all times and provide proof of residence upon request.
  • Passengers from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and India and their guest receive 50% off each pass rather than 25%
  • BritRail Party Discount -
 Small groups travelling together can receive 50% off the 3rd through the 9th passenger. The Party Discount is available only with a Pass of the same type and duration. The BritRail Party Discount is available in both 1st and Standard Class. Please note the party must travel together at all times.
  • BritRail Family Discount -
 Purchase any select adult or senior BritRail Pass and one accompanying child (age 5 to 15) receives a Pass of the same type and duration for free. For additional children, the price is 50% off the adult fare. The BritRail Family Discount is available in both 1st and Standard Class.
  • BritRail Youth Discount -
 Young persons between the age of 16 and 25 (inclusive) are eligible for a 20% discount in both 1st and Standard Class.
  • BritRail Senior Discount -
 Traveller aged 60 and over receives a 15% discount in First Class only.

Please note that only one discount per pass can be applied.

Note: Some trains in Great Britain do not have 1st class accommodation. The price of the 1st class Pass have been adjusted to reflect this.
