For the ultimate in luxury and sophistication, travel in exclusive Platinum Service on The Ghan and Indian Pacific.

Almost twice the size of the Gold Service cabins, the new Platinum fully en suite cabins have been designed to a brief that called for all the modern comforts in classic style with a distinctly Australian character.

To complement this, Great Southern Rail has also created a number of deluxe touches including 24 hour in-cabin steward service.

Each spacious cabin features an oversized panoramic window and an additional interior window offering a unique perspective on the ever-changing Australian landscape from both sides of the train.

During the day, the cabin is a private lounge with a moveable table and two ottomans giving plenty of room to entertain or to simply relax and enjoy the journey.

By night your private cabin converts to your choice of comfortable double or twin beds with high quality bedding and the en suite facilities are equipped with premium fittings, full size shower, vanity with cupboard space, mirror and toilet facilities.

All restaurant meals in the elegant Queen Adelaide Restaurant Carriage are included and there is also the Desert Explorer Lounge Car where you can relax and enjoy a drink from the extensive bar while you enjoy the passing scenery.

Private transfers to/from the hotel or airport pre or post-journey and also benefit from increased checked-in luggage allowance (3 x 25kg bags per person). When making Platinum Service bookings please advise the locations for pick up and drop off at time of reservation.
