Japan Rail West Pass (Sanyo Area)

Covering a smaller, more specific area of western Japan, this excursion pass allows the visitor to explore the many sightseeing locations of the Sanyo Area.

This pass can be used for travelling to Osaka, Okayama, Hiroshima, Hakata and other sightseeing places within the Sanyo area via the 'Nozomi' (series 500) and other Sanyo Shinkansen super express trains.

This pass is available for 4 or 8 days of consecutive travel starting from the first travel date, and allows unlimited use of the Ordinary class cars, including the rapid-service and special rapid-service trains.

It also allows for unrestricted boarding and unboarding, within the designated area of the following trains operated by West Japan Railway Co. (JR West): NOZOMI, HIKARI and KODAMA Sanyo Shinkansen super express trains, HARUKA limited express trains, ordinary cars of local trains (both reserved and free-seating) and the Miyajima ferry line in Hiroshima.

In cases of reserved seats: A reserved seat can only be used by receiving a reserved-seat ticket (at no extra charge) at a ticket office located at stations of the West Japan Railway Co. before boarding the train.
