Terms & Conditions - Renfe Spain Pass

Conditions of Use

• Pass holders may change the class specified on their pass from Business/ Club to Tourist, however they will not be entitled to a refund for the difference.
• On the contrary, holders of a Tourist class pass must pay a supplement to cover the difference between Tourist and Business/ Club, calculated according to RENFE Standard Prices and Fares.
• The pass holder must comply with the general rules applicable in contractual relations between the passenger and the carrier.
• For further information relating to the carriage of animals, bicycles, luggage etc., please consult RENFE information for travelling online.

Pass Cancellation

• Once a pass is booked a 15% cancellation charge will apply plus an administration fee.
• It is not possible to obtain any refund whatsoever after making the first journey.

Pass Replacement

• If a pass is damaged, lost or stolen, a duplicate can be requested by contacting us. An administration fee will be applicable.
• It is not possible to change a pass for another one of a different type/class.
• It is not possible to change a pass for another one with a different validity period.

Commitment

Pass holders are entitled to request compensation in the event of a delay in the scheduled arrival time, lack of quality, or for any other reason attributable to Renfe under the same terms and conditions as the rest of the prices and fares, depending on the type of product and train.

Further Rules - Irregularities

• If the details on the pass have been altered or tampered with, or if the pass is used by any person other than the holder, the traveller will be deemed to be travelling without a ticket. In such cases, the pass will be confiscated and the prevailing regulations will be enforced as appropriate.
• If a pass is used without a previously obtained ticket, the traveller will be deemed to be travelling without a valid travel document and the RENFE prevailing regulations will be enforced as appropriate.
