Eastern Line

The journey from Gemas to Wakaf Bahru in north-eastern Malaysia takes you through the awesome scenery of the dense jungle of the Malay interior into the heart of the flat topped mountains that dot the area, before terminating close to the Thai border.

A 3 mile taxi ride will get you from Wakaf Bahru to Khota Bahm where you can pick up a bus to the border town of Rantau Panjang. Here, just walk over the border into the Thai town of Sungai Kolok and half a mile down the street is the next Station for onward train travel into Thailand.
