Strike Update in Italy - 6th Sept 2011

We have received the following information from Artesia regarding the disruption to their day services, due to an Italian rail strike on 6th September 2011.

Please see below for details:

Train 9240 Milan to Paris, departing at 06.43 is CANCELLED. Passengers with tickets valid to travel on this service can use their ticket to travel on the 9248, which leaves Milan at 16.10.

Train 9241 Paris TO Milan, departing at 07.42 will terminate in Modane. Passengers will be transported from Modane to Milan/Turin by replacement bus service.

The 9249 and 9248 Day services and the Overnight services are running as normal.

After-Sales

Passengers with tickets valid to travel on the 9240 or 9241 services, who opt not to travel, can get a full refund regardless of the after-sales conditions stated on the original ticket.

Passengers with return tickets, where one leg of the journey is affected by the strike, can also get a full refund on their tickets if they opt not to travel.

In order to process the refund, tickets must be received by International Rail within 28 days of the date of travel. We recommend that tickets are returned using special delivery.
