Strike in Italy affecting TGV services France-Italy - 8th July 2012

We have been advised that a strike will take place in Italy on 8th July that will affect TGV France-Italy services.

The details are as follows.

Passengers travelling to/from Milan, Novara & Vercelli:

♦ TGV services will operate a normal service between Paris and Modane. Passengers will be transported by bus between Modane and Turin Stura. TGV services will be available to transport passengers between Turin Stura and Milan P Garibaldi (stopping at Novara and Vercelli).

Passengers travelling to/from Turin, Oulx & Bardonecchia:

♦ TGV services will operate a normal service between Paris and Modane. A replacement bus service will operate between Modane and Turin P Susa (stopping at Oulx and Bardonecchia)

Only passengers with a ticket valid to travel on a TGV France-Italy service on 8th July will be permitted to take the replacement bus service.

AFTER-SALES:

Passengers who opt not to travel on 8th July can obtain a full refund, regardless of the ticket conditions stated on their original tickets. Passengers in possession of a return ticket, where one leg of the journey is impacted by the strike, can get a full refund on both the outbound and inbound tickets.

TGV n°9241, n°9247, n°9249, n°9240, n°9242 et n°9248 have been closed for sale.
