Spanish Train Derailment - UPDATE: 25th July 2013

Following the derailment of a train near Santiago de Compostela in Spain at 20:41 on 24 July 2013, train services to and from Galicia are currently disrupted.

Renfe transport plan - Thursday 25 July:

Alvia 555 Ferrol (07:15h) / Pontevedra (07:40h) - Chamartín (14:40h) will be redirected via Pontevedra.

TrenHotel 10922 Barcelona 21:10 - A Coruña: From Monforte, the train will be redirected via Lugo. Customers travelling to Ourense and Santiago will be able to travel as far as Ourense by train. Customers for Santiago will be transported from Orense to Santiago by bus.

Alvia 357 Madrid Chamartín (7:20h) - A Coruña (13:23h) Pontevedra (14:05h): will be redirected via Pontevedra.

Alvia 151 Madrid Chamartín (15:00h) - Ferrol (22:36h) / Pontevedra (22:03h) will be redirected via Pontevedra.

Alvia 153 A Coruña (15:35) / Pontevedra (14:42h) - Madrid Chamartín (21:48h): will be redirected via Pontevedra.

Trenhotel 853 A Coruña (21:55) - Madrid Chamartín (08:02h) will be redirected via Pontevedra.

Train 851 Madrid Chamartín (22:30h) - A Coruña (07:48h) will be redirected via Pontevedra.

Arco 280 Vigo Guixar (09:20h) - Bilbao (20:03h) / Hendaye (20:52h): Part of the train (numbered 881) from A Coruña (09:25h) - Hendaye (20:52h) will be redirected via Lugo to Monforte. Customers travelling from Santiago de Compostela and Ourense will travel to Monforte by bus.

Arco 282 Irún (08:45h) / Bilbao (09:15h) - Vigo Guixar (20:17h): Part of the train (numbered 882) travelling from Ourense (18:43h) - A Coruña (20:03h) will be redirected via Lugo. Passengers travelling to Santiago de Compostela will travel by bus from Monforte.

Alvia 626 Barcelona (09:30h) - A Coruña (22:22h): Passengers will be able to travel as far as Monforte, where they will then need to take train 12647 from Monforte de L. (20.40h) to A Coruña (23:10h). Passengers for Santiago de Compostela will travel by bus from Ourense. Passengers for A Coruña can travel in an Avant train from Santiago de Compostela.

Avant trains between A Coruña and Ourense:

A Coruña - Santiago de Compostela: A Shuttle service is expected to operate.

Santiago de Compostela - Ourense: Replacement bus services will operate. Passengers travelling on Medium Distance trains between Santiago de Compostela and Ourense will be transferred by bus between Santiago de Compostela and Lalín.
