SNCB - Belgian Railways Strike: 2nd - 3rd October 2012

We have been advised that there is a planned strike within Belgium that will affect the following services from 2nd October at 22:00hrs until 3rd October at 22:00hrs.

Tuesday, 02^nd October 2012

• ICE 10 Frankfurt(M) (18:29) - Bruxelles Midi - terminates Aachen. Replacement bus service from Aachen to Bruxelles

Wednesday, 03^rd October 2012

• ICE 10 Frankfurt(M) (18:29) - Bruxelles Midi - terminates Aachen

• ICE 11 Bruxelles Midi (06:25) - Frankfurt (M) - begins Aachen

• ICE 14 Frankfurt (M) (14:16) - Bruxelles Midi - terminates Aachen

• ICE 15 Bruxelles Midi (10:25) - Frankfurt (M) - begins Aachen

• ICE 16 Frankfurt (M) (10:16) - Bruxelles Midi - terminates Aachen

• ICE 17 Bruxelles Midi (14:25) - Frankfurt (M) - begins Aachen

• ICE 18 Frankfurt (M) (06:25) - Bruxelles Midi - terminates Aachen

• ICE 19 Bruxelles Midi (18:25) - Frankfurt (M) - begins Aachen. Replacement bus services will operate between Achen and Bruxelles and between Bruxelles and Aachen.

Thursday, 04^th October 2012

• ICE 11 Bruxelles Midi (06:25) - Frankfurt (M) - begins Aachen. Replacement bus service from Bruxelles to Aachen

The buses will call at Aachen Hbf, Liege-Guillemins and Bruxelles Midi. They will NOT call at Bruxelles Nord

Please note that the capacity of the replacement buses is limited and not all passengers may be able to board!

EUROSTAR

NO Eurostar service will operate to or from Bruxelles Midi

Eurostar will operate 6 shuttle services between London and Lille. The finalised timetable for these shuttles will be published on Monday, 01st October.

Other Eurostar services will NOT be affected.

THALYS

NO Thalys services will operate. All trains on 03^rd October have been closed for sale.

Additionally trains 9397, 9375 and 9483 will terminate in Bruxelles Midi on 02nd October and trains 9308 and 9406 will begin in Bruxelles Midi on 04th October.

A replacement bus service will operate between Köln and Bruxelles and between Bruxelles and Aachen. The buses will also call at Liege Guillemins.

The buses will depart from Köln at the scheduled departure times of the trains. Departure times from Bruxelles Midi will be flexible.

Please note that there will be NO replacement bus service for THA 9484 (Köln 18:43)

Please note that the capacity of the replacement buses is limited and not all passengers may be able to board

Due to the strike there will be NO onward connections from Bruxelles or Liege by rail.

Trains will resume the scheduled times after the end of the strike. However, it is likely that disruptions will continue for some time.
