Essential Engineering Works on the Italy via Brenner Route

We have been advised that during the summer essential engineering works will lead to part or full closure of the Brenner route

These engineering works will take place between 11^th June and 30^th September 2012.

The affected section of route will be from Innsbruck to Brenner.

11^th June - 05^th August:

Part closure with single traffic
Reduced train services
Replacement bus service likely for ALL local train services
Long-distance services (i.e. EC services München - Italy) will operate as scheduled

16^th - 18^th June; 23^rd - 25^th June; 30^th June - 02^nd July; 14^th - 16^th July:

06^th August - 10^th September:

Full closure of the entire route
NO train services
Replacement bus services for ALL train services
ÖBB local service 1870/1873 from Brenner will be diverted to Lienz (Osttirol) via Brunico

11^th - 30^th September:

Part closure with single traffic
Reduced train services
Replacement bus service likely for ALL local train services
Long-distance services (i.e. EC services München - Italy) will operate as scheduled

15^th - 17^th September; 22^nd - 24^th September:

Affected long-distance service trains during full closures:

EC 80, EC 81, EC 83, EC 84, EC 85, EC 86, EC 87, EC 88, EC 89, EC 188, EC 1288, EC 1289

Replacement buses:

Will depart at the scheduled departure times of the trains
Connecting trains will wait for a maximum of 15 minutes should there be a replacement bus be delayed

Reservations:

Disabled passengers:

With the exception of the full closure periods disabled passengers can only be offered passage on the following trains: EC 83, EC 85, EC 86, EC88

Bicycles:

With the exception of the full closure periods bicycles can only be conveyed on the following services: EC 83, EC 85, EC 86, EC 88
NO bicycles on any other service!
