Engineering Works at Barcelona Sants station in August 2011

We have been advised that engineering works will take place at Barcelona Sants station from 4th-27th August 2011.

This will affect local train services adding approximately 20 to 45 minutes on to each journey.

All long distance trains operating to/from or via Barcelona Sants are also affected and journey times are expected to increase by approximately 45 minutes.

Talgo 460 Lorca → Montpellier & 463 Montpellier → Cartagena services: These services will not stop at Barcelona. A local train service will be available to transport passengers between Granollers Centre station and Barcelona Sants.
Talgo 165 Barcelona → Lorca & 1171 Barcelona → Murcia services: These services will depart from Barcelona França instead of Barcelona Sants. The journey time is expected increase by approximately 50 minutes.
Talgo 264 Cartagena → Barcelona & 1102 Murcia → Barcelona, Euromed 1112 Alicante → Barcelona services: Will terminate at Barcelona França instead of Barcelona Sants. The journey time is expected to increase by approximately 30-50 minutes.

The following services will depart from Barcelona França instead of Barcelona Sants. The journey times are expected to increase by approximately 35-75 minutes. The departure times are subject to confirmation.

Euromed Barcelona → Alicante no 1071, 1101, 1161 & 1181,
Euromed Barcelona → Valencia no 1091, 1341 & 1401,
Alaris Barcelona → Alicante no 1111,
Alaris Barcelona → Valencia no 1391,
Arco Barcelona → Sevilla/Almeria/ Granada/Malaga/Badajoz no 697,
Trenhotel Barcelona → Granada no 897

The journey times of the following services are expected increase by approximately 20-50 minutes.

Euromed Alicante → Barcelona no 1282, 1162, 1182,
Euromed Valencia → Barcelona no 1152, 1262, 1392,
Alaris Alicante → Barcelona no 1202,
Alaris Valencia → Barcelona no 1142,
Arco Sevilla / Almeria / Granada / Malaga / Badajoz → Barcelona no 694,
Talgo Murcia → Barcelona no 1212.

The overnight Estrella serivce from Madrid to Cerbere will not stop at Barcelona from 4th - 26th August. A replacement bus service will transport passengers between Cerdanyola Universitat station and Barcelona Sants. An increase of approximately 30 minutes in journey time is expected. Sales are closed for all stops north of Barcelona Sants.

Trenhotel Granada → Barcelona: diverted via Vilafranca/Ramales.
Barcelona ↔ Lorca/Murcia: Will terminate at Barcelona França instead of Barcelona Sants. An increase of approximately 27 minutes in journey is expected.

Engineering works will also take place in the Canbanyal tunnel (Valencia) from 28th August - 4th September. The journey time for following services is expected to increase by up to 15 minutes:
