Disruption between Innsbruck & Brenner

Disruption between Innsbruck & Brenner - Friday 11th Oct 2013

We have only just been advised by The Austrian Railways (ÖBB) that due to heavy snowfall, the line between Innsbruck & Brenner is currently suffering from disruption. They have estimated that only one track will be open to traffic as the day progresses.

The result of this is that EC trains on the Munich-Brenner-Italy route are currently having to stop in Innsbruck and Brenner. A replacement bus service has been put in place.

Please expect delays in your journey times. Throughout the course of this afternoon, it is expected for trains to be able to run again through this section but in the meantime please expected long delays.
