Cancellation Notice of Thello Trains on a Tuesday up until 10th December 2013

We regret to inform you that, as a result of operating issues, Thello will be cancelling trains on the Paris-Rome line departing all Tuesdays until the end of validity of the present timetable:

  • 29th October 2013
  • 05th November 2013
  • 12th November 2013
  • 19th November 2013
  • 26th November 2013
  • 03rd December 2013
  • 10th December 2013

All the Rome route trains travelling on such dates have therefore been closed for sale.

The Venice route trains travelling on such dates have also been temporarily closed for sale, in order to grant re-protection for the Rome route passengers. Any remaining seats will eventually become available on the Venice route trains and they will be re-opened for sale over the next few days.

Thello has also organised the below alternative journey solutions for passengers holding reservations for the cancelled trains.

Train 207 Paris to Rome

  • Journey on Thello train 223 to Milan (arrival in Milan at 05h38). Passengers are advised to arrive at the station at the time due for their initial train departure: 19h14 at Paris Gare de Lyon and 21h51 at Dijon Ville.
  • In Milan, transfer on Trenitalia trains will be calling at Rome, Florence and Bologna.

Train 206 Rome to Paris

  • Journey on Trenitalia trains 9560 from Rome, Bologna and Florence to Milan.
  • Departure from Rome Termini at 20h20.
  • Departure from Florence Santa Maria Novella at 22h00
  • Departure from Bologna Centrale at 22h38

Passengers are advised to arrive at the station 45 minutes before departure.

Passengers travelling from Florence can either go directly to S.M.Novella station, or go to Campo di Marte station, where they will be directed to a train to S.M.Novella station by Trenitalia Customer Care staff.

  • On arrival in Milan, transfer on Thello train 222 to Dijon/Paris

A berth will be provided on the Paris-Milan journey. On the Frecciarossa train, the trip will be in seated accommodation. The Trenitalia Customer Care staff will be supporting customers during the train change in Milan.

For passengers who have booked cabin accommodation Thello may be unable to grant such level of comfort and would offer accomodation in a lower class. A refund of the difference between the two classes will be available after the journey has taken place. To request a refund, passengers can send their request through the Thello online contact form.

Passengers can also cancel their journey and receive a full refund of their train ticket, by sending their request through the Thello online contact form before the train departure.
