Artesia Service Update 31st March to 1st April

Please be advised that Trenitalia, the Italian national railways, have confirmed that a strike will start tonight, Thursday 31st March at 21.00 for 24 hours, finishing at 21.00 on Friday 1st April.

Some Artesia services will be affected by this industrial action as follows:

Day Trains

31st March 2011

TGV's 9240, 9248, 9241 will run as normal

TGV 9249 will terminate at Turin Porta Nuova instead of Milan Centrale. A replacement bus service will run between Turin Porta Nuova and Milan Centrale.

Please note that TGV 9249 will not call at Turin Porta Susa.

TGV 9249 is currently closed for sale on this date.

1st April 2011

TGV'S 9240, 9248, 9241, 9249 will not run between Modane and Milan in either direction.

From France to Italy: Passengers travelling on TGV 9241 and 9249 can take TGV Artesia to Modane and then take the replacement bus service to their onward destination in Italy.

From Italy to France: Passengers due to travel on TGV 9240 and 9248 can take the replacement bus service from Milan Centrale, Novara, Vercelli, Turin Porta Susa, Oulx and Bardonecchia station to Modane where passengers can then board the TGV Artesia to Paris.

TGV 9241, 9249, 9240 and 9248 are currently closed for sale on this date.

Night Trains

Artesia night trains will run as normal, however these services will still be affected by the engineering works taking place in Switzerland, as previously communicated.

After-sales conditions for both day and night services remain the same as the conditions stated on the original tickets.
