Artesia Day Trains Service Update - 21st February 2011

Please find below the latest service update which we have received from Artesia.

TGV 9249 and 9240 (Paris to and from Turin) have been temporarily closed for sales until 25th February 2011. This is because some of the rolling stock is being upgraded for technical reasons. Domestic journeys within France are open for sales, however journeys to and from Modane are closed for sales.

TGV 9241 and 9248 will operate as normal.

This applies to journeys that take place on the following dates:

Monday 21st February 2011:

From France to Italy: Passengers travelling on TGV 9249 can take TGV Artesia to Modane and then take the replacement bus service to their onward destination in Italy.

From Italy to France: TGV 9240 will operate as normal

Tuesday 22nd, Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th February 2011:

From France to Italy: Passengers travelling on TGV 9249 can take TGV Artesia to Modane and then take the replacement bus service to their onward destination in Italy.

From Italy to France: Passengers can take the replacement bus service from Milan Centrale, Novara, Vercelli, Turin Porta Susa, Oulx and Bardonecchia station to Modane where passengers can then board the TGV Artesia to Paris.

Friday 25th February 2011:

From France to Italy: TGV 9249 will operate as normal

From Italy to France: Passengers can take the replacement bus service from Milan Centrale, Novara, Vercelli, Turin Porta Susa, Oulx and Bardonecchia station to Modane where passengers can then board the TGV Artesia to Paris.

If you have customers wishing to travel to Italy during this disrupted period who you have not yet booked tickets for, you can book them to travel on board TGV 9241 or 9248 and Artesia Overnight services 221 and 220.

After-sales conditions

Passengers with tickets valid to travel on Artesia Day services from 21st to 25th February 2011 on a train that is not running all the way through from France to Italy or Italy to France, can get a full refund on their ticket, regardless of the conditions stated on their original ticket. Exchanges must be processed as a refund followed by a new sale. The customer must pay any difference in cost between the new and the original ticket.
