The Former Yugoslav Republic of "Macedonia" is only one of three areas of the historical region of "Macedonia", which includes Pirin Macedonia (Bulgaria) and Aegean Macedonia (Greece).

It is located in the southern part of the Balkan Peninsula, enriched by the exceptional beauty of natural and artificial lakes, high mountains and thermal mineral springs concentrated in 8 health resorts.
